Your audio is processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
Formats your browser can convert
Input support depends on the audio codecs built into your browser, so this list can differ between Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. It's a best-effort check — if a file can't be decoded, you'll see an error for that file.
About the Prompt Converter
The Prompt Converter turns existing audio files — voice-over recordings, MP3s from a studio, or prompts exported from another system — into G.711 μ-law WAV files, the format required by most IVR and IVA platforms, including Five9, Avaya, Genesys, and Cisco.

How to use it
- Drag and drop one or more audio files onto the converter, or click Choose Files.
- Files convert automatically. With up to three files, each gets a player so you can listen before you Save.
- With four or more files, the converted prompts are packaged into a single ZIP file and downloaded automatically.
- Change the options after converting and a Re-convert button appears, so you don't need to add the files again.
Options
- Trim silence removes leading and trailing audio quieter than −50 dBFS, keeping 50 ms of lead-in and lead-out so prompts don't sound clipped.
- Peak-normalize adjusts the volume so each file's loudest point sits at −3 dBFS, giving a consistent level across prompts.
How does the pipeline work?
- WAV files (PCM, float, μ-law, or A-law) are read directly, so existing telephony prompts can be re-converted in any browser.
- Other formats are decoded by your browser's built-in codecs using the Web Audio API, directly at 8,000 Hz.
- Audio is resampled with an anti-aliasing filter, so high frequencies don't fold back as harsh distortion.
- All channels are mixed down to mono by averaging.
- Each sample is encoded with the ITU-T G.711 μ-law algorithm and wrapped in a WAV container — all in plain JavaScript.
Is my audio private?
Yes. Decoding, conversion, and ZIP packaging all happen entirely in your browser. No audio is transmitted to any server — the page works the same even if you disconnect from the internet after it loads. Downloads are generated locally as in-memory files.
